We paid full price and got almost no sleep. The walls were so thin we could hear the people next door yelling, screaming and slamming doors all night, as if there were a party going on. Every 15 minutes or so another door slammed hard enough to shake the bed. We managed maybe two hours of broken sleep and ended up exhausted, angry and looking for somewhere else to rest. There was an awful smell of smoke that we couldn’t get away from, and bugs in the room, apparently because there were no proper window screens. New people kept arriving and leaving through the night. It felt like a constant party, and the noisy group seemed more like people living in those apartments than ordinary hotel guests. It was totally inappropriate for a short stay. We didn’t call the police because we were tourists, worried about the language barrier and making things worse. We didn’t knock on the neighbors’ door either. There were several of them, they were loud and acting aggressively, and we didn’t feel safe. No one offered help, apologized or compensated us. Where was management? Is there no rule about keeping quiet after 10 pm? There was a security camera downstairs, but it seemed no one cared what was happening. No control and no respect for guests who just wanted to sleep. If your sleep, safety or sanity matters to you, stay far away. This place doesn’t deserve a single star.

The apartment was cosy, with comfortable bedrooms and a large bathroom that had a separate bath. The kitchen was small but well equipped. It’s so tight, though, that if someone sits at the dining table, there’s no room to move around in the kitchen. Our apartment didn’t have a living room. Fortunately, there are plenty of cafes and bars nearby. It was a clean, modern serviced apartment.

The rooms were spacious and bright, and everything felt clean and new. It was easy to find the place, and check-in went smoothly. A few basics were missing, including capsules for the washing machine and dishwasher, but that’s a minor issue. I’d definitely recommend it.

The inside was clean, and the washing machine on the second floor was tucked away in a cabinet. The tumble dryer is on the third floor. Getting in, though, takes planning. Allow 15-20 minutes for online check-in, which needs internet on your phone and can be impossible for travelers without access. After that, ring the bell at Borghese Homekeeper next door to get the door cards. If you arrive with family and luggage, be ready to wait outside for 15-20 minutes if the lock isn’t working. Nearby parking is for residents only, though there’s parking within 200 meters. The neighborhood may feel scary to some. The city seems easy to reach, about three stops from the center, but the place isn’t as premium as it’s marketed. I’d call it a good standard apartment, with some Ikea furniture. In H1, the basement unit, there are no daytime privacy curtains, so neighbors can see inside. There’s no booklet or instructions, everything is on a webpage, and it felt like the personal touch was missing. Be careful when booking because you may get a different room from the one you pictured. My wife wanted the 3-4F maisonette superior room, but the listing didn’t explain that the base floor also has a superior room in a completely different style. Add a note to your booking to avoid disappointment. We learned that someone who booked the previous night got the apartment we thought we’d booked, which wasn’t ideal when we’d traveled halfway around the world.

Nice spot.
