Hotel Metropol Nürnberg

We stayed here on a warm day, and the rooms were so hot we couldn’t sleep. We had to leave both windows open for air, but the traffic noise made it feel like sleeping in the middle of a highway. The hotel is in an old building on the 4th floor, up stairs. I’m never coming back.

We were in nurenberg for one day, coming from bulgaria, and arrived at 1:00 AM after a long, tiring flight. We needed to get up at 6:00 am, fresh and ready to work. It WAS A GEAVY NIGHT!!! The booking said there was a 24/7 reception, but nobody was there. The 'hotel' is actually on a level of a residential building, reached through the main entrance and then at the back, with no signs. It was locked, and nobody answered any of the three phone numbers posted on the door. Luckily, another customer arrived and unlocked the entrance so we could get into the antree. It definitely wasn’t a lobby, just two very, very small chairs made to look like sofas. There was no key left for our room, so we had to sleep on the chairs, which was especially difficult because my partner is a very big man. A lady arrived at around 5.30 and asked who we were. She said there was no payment, which wasn’t true. We had registered through booking, the site said no prepayment was needed and the booking was valid, and we had confirmation in our e-mail. Then she asked us to pay around 180€ and said we could use the room until 11:00 AM to bathe and sleep if we wished. I had to wash my hair and freshen up before meetings that day, just to look like a human who DID NOT sleep on a chair. No more comment.

Dirty and extremely loud. When I came back at night, I couldn’t get into my room. I waited 45 mins, then a girl who looked like a Prostitution went out and I could come in. Extrem Bad. Dont go there.

It’s right next to an underground station, which makes it really easy to visit central locations. The place was very clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
