Hotel Schindlerhof

The service was a highlight, with a professional, friendly team from the front desk to housekeeping who made me feel looked after. Hotel Schindlerhof has spacious, elegant, very clean rooms, comfortable beds, modern amenities, high-speed Wi-Fi, and quality toiletries. It felt welcoming from arrival. I also liked the dining options. The restaurant serves a varied menu of local and international dishes made with fresh ingredients, and there are cozy bar and lounge areas. The hotel has a fitness center, sauna, peaceful garden, and modern, flexible conference and event spaces. Parking is available and well managed. It’s conveniently placed for public transport, city attractions, shops, and other dining. To me, Hotel Schindlerhof brings together comfort, style, and attentive service, with options for both business and leisure stays. I found it good value and would be happy to return.

The main drawback is getting here from Nuremberg Hbf. Public transport takes about 30-40 minutes with several changes, though the bus station is only a 2-3 minute walk away. Driving takes around 20 minutes, and a Bolt from the station costs about €30. There’s no elevator. The rooms are clean and spacious, with great views, and the staff are nice and helpful. There’s a restaurant at the hotel, and REWE Pascal Kneuer is about 15 minutes away on foot, roughly 1 km along a scenic route.

Parking was extremely easy, and our stay felt more like being at home. We were a family of four, with kids aged 3 and 7, and had asked for a double bed room. Laura welcomed us with a friendly smile and asked about breakfast preferences since the dining room was being remodeled and breakfast was a la carte. They arranged a gluten-free breakfast for my wife. Our room was upgraded: it had a double bed plus a separate room with bunk beds and a crib. Breakfast was incredible, and Susie, who served it, was super friendly and attentive. The kids loved her. The hotel was relaxing and high class, with helpful service, impeccable cleanliness, and lots of necessary amenities. I’d read some negative reviews before arriving, but from our experience they weren’t justified. It was a 10 out of 10, and I’d come back.

Tina and Jana were already engaged and helpful on the phone, offering us different options. Once we arrived, the staff were friendly all the way through to our departure. They even upgraded our ryokan room to a suite at no extra cost. The suite was clean and cozy, with a lovely pond view and a relaxing bathtub. The food was scrumptious, and Rosina brought us a chocolate dessert with breakfast that was mouthwatering. Much of the food is organic, there are vegan options, and the restaurant design makes you feel comfortable right away. I’ve stayed in 5* hotels, but this place exceeded them.
