You can sometimes hear the cows in the evening, which brings back lovely memories of my childhood. I’ve stayed at Landhaus Berktold four or five times now, always in winter so far. ❄️🏂🏔️☀️ The hosts are incredibly warm and friendly, and the rooms and apartments are comfortable, exceptionally clean, and well kept. It’s pure relaxation, and I wholeheartedly recommend Landhaus Berktold.

The location has plenty for families to do, from playing to other activities, and our 11-year-old daughter got to use the playground equipment and help care for the rabbits. Our apartment was clean and tidy, with classic, cozy furnishings and a well-equipped kitchen. The two-burner stove made cooking easy. This was our second stay at the Berktold family's country house, from August 7th to 21st, and we made the right choice again. Mr. and Mrs. Berktold, their son and daughter-in-law, and their three grandchildren were all very friendly. They were always up for a quick chat and showed interest in our plans for the day. We'd love to return!

We had a lovely, clean apartment with open views, and the town has lots of restaurants serving good food. It’s a great spot for hiking or simply relaxing. We’d gladly come back.

This was our second stay at your house, and we’d happily return. We chose it for the quiet location and really appreciated the friendly, family atmosphere. The house felt peaceful, and everything was clean and well maintained. The floral arrangements were lovely, and we made good use of the morning bread roll delivery. We were also glad to receive helpful suggestions for things to do, and took them up.

We stayed in the Geißhorn apartment and were completely happy with it. Booking and communication went smoothly, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The evenings were so quiet that all we could hear were cowbells. Oberstdorf is only a 15-minute drive away, and there are lovely hikes you can start right from here. A beautiful apartment in an idyllic Alpine setting. We’d love to come back.
