We stayed for ten days in May in the lovely Edelweiss holiday apartment, about a 15-minute walk from the center. It’s very well equipped, and we’d definitely come back. The meadows and mountains make for a magnificent view from this wonderfully quiet location. The apartment is under the roof, though, so it can get quite warm. We had temperatures of 28 degrees in May, and it would be nice to have sunshades at the bathroom and kitchen skylights. Still, we give it five stars.

The contact person was very helpful whenever we had questions, replying via WhatsApp. We also found the bread and roll delivery reliable and good, with very early delivery, as long as you ordered by 5 pm the day before. The apartment was tastefully furnished and had everything we needed. It’s quiet and around ten minutes from the town center. We’d come again.

We came back to Landhaus Dodel for a week in September 2025, just as we did the year before. The apartment was comfortable and well equipped, and we were glad to have the option of bread roll delivery. Our e-bikes had a covered parking spot with charging facilities. The location feels central but is extremely quiet, and a contact person answered our questions and requests very quickly at any time. We felt right at home and will definitely return.

We’ve spent many Christmas and New Year holidays in Oberstdorf over the years, and Landhaus Dodel is easily the best place we’ve stayed. It’s close to the town center but still quiet, and we felt very comfortable. We’ve already booked again for December 2026. Gerhard Märte and Brigitte Sanddorf send their thanks.

We’ve stayed at Landhaus Dodel three times now and will certainly be back. The apartment is cozy, clean, and beautifully furnished, with great amenities. From the balcony there’s a fantastic mountain view, and with the lovely weather we had, we could enjoy it even at the end of October and start of November. It’s quiet on the edge of town, a great place to set off hiking from, and the center is still just a short walk away.
