For two nights, there was no one at the front desk. I was stuck in the lobby after leaving my key in the room, and neither I nor another guest could get anyone to answer despite calling multiple numbers. The owner later explained that a Vodafone disruption had stopped the phones from receiving calls. I did get out eventually, but only a couple of hours after calling the police and ambulance. The police were nice enough once they arrived, though initially reluctant to send help, which I suppose may be part of being in a small town. It was an absolutely awful situation.

I stay in hotels every week, and this doesn't feel like one. It's a fend-for-yourself apartment where the staff have already gone to bed. Worst hotel in the world, and I've stayed in a lot. You're better off at the cheap hotel down the road, where at least you can charge your phone and someone is there to let you in!

If you like Xenos chique, this is the place for you.

The setup's a little unusual, more like a few great rooms with breakfast tucked into a furniture store than a regular hotel. Honestly, that just made the stay more interesting. The rooms were really nice.

A fantastic place to stay in a city that feels pretty sleepy.
