They canceled my booking because they thought I was a foreigner, then refused to open the door. Each time I called, they hung up, and they even shouted from the street that they had no room for me. The treatment was extremely rude and racist, and foreigners should be aware they may be treated just as unwelcomingly. I would never recommend this host. Avoid them and spare yourself the experience.

I was very disappointed to have to cancel after arriving a few hours past 8 pm, since the administrator couldn't check me in after that time. If check-in wasn't possible then, why was my reservation confirmed?

The hostess was lovely. If you're comfortable with a private setting, you can feel really at ease here.

I slept very well thanks to the comfortable mattresses, and everything was clean. The kitchen is nicely equipped, with bread and cold cuts provided, and the shared bathroom was clean too. The owners were friendly and helpful. It's in a quiet spot in southern Oldenburg, about a 15-minute drive from the city center. I highly recommend this guesthouse.
