Ibis Budget Osnabrueck City

The automated check-in and checkout were pretty handy for a convenient stopover. Breakfast had a good assortment, though I missed having a toaster, haha. The hotel appeared clean, and the price was very competitive.

The rooms were well equipped and insulated, and breakfast was quite good. We were happy to get off the highway and reach the hotel quickly on our way to Lübeck. I'd made sure to choose a place with parking, but reception was closed when we arrived. The person I reached by phone couldn't help with parking or tell me where it was, so we had to park somewhere else and pay. That's my only negative point, especially given the very good price.

The location was good and breakfast was nice. The room was fine, but it had a bunk bed, and I kept bumping my head on it when I lay down. Both times I showered, the water flipped from cold to scorching hot every few seconds.

The hotel is right by the main train and bus stations, and breakfast was included in our night's stay. There aren't any hairdryers in the rooms, so bring your own, with an adapter if you're visiting from outside Europe. When we first arrived early to leave our luggage until the official check-in time, the young receptionist on duty was extremely rude and unfriendly. She doesn't seem to know how to deal with the public, and shouldn't be in that role. I don't know how she's kept her job. Later, when we came back, a different receptionist was on duty and was very friendly and helpful.
