DORMERO Strandhotel Rügen

The staff were all really friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and clean, but the furniture felt hard and uncomfortable to sit or lie on. It was always warm inside, even when it was 18-22 degrees outside, so we had to keep the window open. Sitting on the balcony felt awkward too, since the glass balconies are close to the neighbors. The beach itself was fairly quiet, and there are a few restaurants near the hotel, though we didn't try them because we went into Binz for lunch and dinner. We were there for a weekend with my husband and our dog. I'm not sure I'd return, but the stay was okay overall.

DORMERO Strandapartments Rügen was a peaceful, safe place to unwind, with shops and restaurants nearby for food or an evening walk. The apartment was clean, modern, and comfortable, with a small kitchen, a nice bathroom, and a cozy bed. Its simple, stylish design made me feel relaxed right away. The location was the best part: just a few steps from the beach, with a beautiful view, especially at sunrise. Check-in was easy, and the friendly, helpful staff spoke English, which made things smoother for me. Wi-Fi worked well, and free parking by the building was a big plus. I'd definitely recommend DORMERO Strandapartments to anyone visiting Rügen. It's a great spot for a quiet beach holiday, and I hope to come back someday.

The apartments were great value and came with free beer and soft drinks in the fridge. The staff were excellent. If you're a visiting Brit, you're probably here for the history, and it doesn't disappoint. From the original stairwells to the imposing facade, the building is really impressive. The nearby documentation centre explains its story incredibly well.

The rooms are spacious, and it's quite a pleasant hotel, but the service could be better. At breakfast, instead of saying good morning, they ask for your room number. And if you ask for hot water to fill a thermos, staff charge 2.5 euros. Ridiculous!
