Villa Poseidon mit Balkon

We had Apartment 17 for a 10-day family holiday. Its location is convenient, close to the beach, and the underground parking garage was useful. The on-site sauna was great too, though it needs cleaning more regularly. Inside, the apartment has good equipment, but it feels dated and worn. The mattresses were unusable, and the dining placemats were so worn that I had to wash them because they were genuinely unappetizing. The vacuum was filthy and overflowing; even after cleaning it, I couldn't use it to vacuum for more than a moment. The property management should keep a closer eye on these things. The bathroom towel warmer barely got warm. We told the property management, but heard nothing back before we left. Guests need some way to dry their towels. It’s opposite a bus stop and a youth hostel on a busy road, so there’s a lot of noise. The apartment is okay, but it badly needs some attention and care.

Holiday apartment No. 8 - Kogge was spotless and thoughtfully furnished, with everything provided and good quality throughout. It’s as well equipped as a holiday apartment could possibly be. Highly recommended.

We had apartment 9 on the first floor, right across from the bus stop. The apartment, underground parking, and outdoor area were okay, but the internet kept freezing and dropping out on different days. The noise outside was relentless. Delivery trucks use the intersection as a hub, turning around, maneuvering, and backing into spaces for Hotel AM MEER and other places. They start arriving one after another from 6:30 a.m. One refrigerated truck arrived at 6:35, spent about half an hour reversing into a space, loading, and leaving the youth hostel, with its engine running the whole time. I’m sure at least one other guest from Villa Poseidon, the youth hostel, or Hotel AM MEER complained too. Unless you’re hard of hearing or shut all the windows, that noise ruins your night. The bus stop outside the youth hostel handles all the long-distance traffic too. Tour buses full of retirees keep rolling in, apparently dropping people off for about an hour of sightseeing before picking them up again. Their engines are almost always left running, though once in a while a driver switches one off. The spot at the intersection also attracts people who want to show off, then accelerate hard after braking.

The beach promenade is close, and you can walk to everything: the bus, supermarket, restaurants, and pier. A very nice holiday apartment.
