There was absolutely no street noise, so it was perfect for relaxing. The lake view was fantastic, and the apartment was very clean, with an excellent bathroom and fly screens on every window. We got a very friendly welcome, and helpful staff were always available. There’s private parking, and the kitchen is fully equipped, including a dishwasher. They’ve thought of everything, even two sun loungers and a parasol. We’re truly satisfied and felt very comfortable. When I lived in Plau, the town was very dirty. The ruins and harbor felt quite dangerous, there were unfortunately lots of dead fish in the water, and a large estate with many animals inside the health resort sometimes produced an awful smell. Hopefully things have changed since then. Despite the "deal," the harbor village has turned out quite nice.

We had a booking mix-up, but the Schönknecht family, who manage the Plau marina, sorted it out straight away. They’re exceptionally friendly, helpful, and accommodating. That’s what I call perfect customer service, and it’s the kind you don’t come across often anymore. Many thanks! We’re looking forward to our stay, and with service like this, it should go smoothly ;)
