Hotel Lindenhof

The room was spacious, clean, and quiet, and everyone on staff was friendly, smiling, and helpful. You can eat indoors or outside, parking is free, and the Wi-Fi was free and quick. Breakfast had a good variety of meats, eggs, fruit, and vegetables. Wow, what a great place.

The room felt dated and the bathroom was very small, though the village itself is tiny and peaceful. Breakfast was very good, and the staff were nice.

The staff were great, and I can see they’re trying hard. There’s a lovely new coffee machine, too. But I’m left wondering when this was considered a four-star hotel. The photos are excellent, credit to the photographer, but I can’t say the same for the food, and there’s no internet in the restaurant. How am I supposed to review it? The sauna in the cellar wasn’t on, the pool was cold, and the relaxation room was cold as well. The gym looks like a place to store old equipment. There’s also a metal skewer sticking out right where your head goes when you lean back on the lovely double-single-double bed. I took a photo for you. This morning was a surprise: we were offered almost no breakfast. We got coffee and pretty much had to insist on an egg. There were only two of us there, so we got the almost-no-breakfast treat. The rooms are simple but modern, and the breakfast buffet is quite good. The restaurant serves a broad choice of dishes, including options beyond Bavarian food. Set in a small village east of Nuremberg, the hotel has plenty of Bavarian character and looks out over woods and meadows.
