The food was excellent, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms were also very nice and clean. But I found the owner's rather snide comment at check-in, about me getting a double room to myself, quite strange. I was traveling with a group of elderly visitors, and we ordered à la carte at the restaurant. I asked for a senior-sized serving and was disappointed: it really was about half the size, but the price barely changed. The regular dish was €16,90, and the smaller one cost €14,60.

Querfurt is a small, ancient town with lovely sights, including churches, old buildings, and the impressive Querfurt Burg. The hotel is right in the heart of town, and I enjoyed my two-day stay there. The rooms have wooden furniture, a minibar, desk, armchair, carpeted floors, free wi-fi, and a hairdryer in the bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful, as were the owner couple. There's a restaurant serving continental food, drinks at a small bar, and a delicious breakfast for an extra fee. I'd recommend visiting Querfurt and staying at the Querfurter Hof Hotel.

The restaurant is cozy, and there's good parking behind the hotel. The food is solid and does the job well, though it isn't star-level. Service was pretty okay too. Don't expect miracles, this is Mitteldeutschland, but if you're looking for somewhere to eat in Querfurt, this is one of the few places I'd seriously consider.

We got in on Sunday, when the restaurant was closed, but they still served us drinks and suggested a nearby restaurant. The rooms were nice, right in the city center, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
