Gutshof Leipzig- Podelwitz Pension

A really comfortable place to stay.

There was space for all the grandchildren to play, from the play equipment in the huge garden to the big green area across the street. The chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs were a hit with the younger and older children alike. We had planned a family reunion and this guesthouse turned out to be just right for everyone coming from far away. The rooms were well equipped, the beds comfortable and the atmosphere very pleasant. There was a shared living room and dining room where we all felt at home in the evenings. Outside, the grill, benches and tables made a nice place to eat together. The youngest would head off to play again while the rest of us sat, talked and enjoyed ourselves. We occasionally watched planes going over to the airport, but otherwise it was just the sounds of nature. The kitchen was set up for self-catering, but we were so well looked after at Mr. Neundorf's breakfast that we added it to our booking. We arranged the booking in advance, and the quick replies on both sides made organizing the reunion much easier. Thanks to Mr. Neundorf for that. We stayed three days and wished we could have stayed longer.

Sven was easy to reach before our weekend with friends, which made sorting out the arrangements quick and simple. There was lots of parking, and we enjoyed a good breakfast. The rooms were clean, nicely furnished and spacious for the price, with plenty of room for four people. We were very satisfied. You can get to the lake easily by bike, though walking takes about an hour.

Quiet and rural, this is a lovely hotel that's still fairly close to the motorway, so it works well as a stop on the way through.
