We stopped in for lunch. After the landlady took our order, she had to wake the cook. He came out 30 minutes later, and we didn’t get to eat until about an hour after ordering.

We only stayed one night and wished we could have stayed longer. The friendly hosts made it a pleasant visit for us and our two large dogs. Our huge room had everything we needed, including a kitchenette and a small sitting area. It was easy to keep clean with a dog since there was no carpet. Dinner was plentiful, delicious, and very reasonably priced. Breakfast had all the usual choices, including eggs, bread, rolls, cheese, cold cuts, jam, honey, yogurt, and muesli. Their dog was reserved and simply ignored ours. If you want a 5-star hotel, this isn’t the place, but it costs much less. For friendly hosts, a clean room, and good home-style cooking, it’s a great fit. We’ll definitely be back!

The terrace was lovely and had a beautiful view, and the rooms were large and clean. It seemed much better suited to dogs than children, since there was no play area for kids. Breakfast was meager and missing a lot: spreads, salad and tomatoes for sandwiches, bread or toast, good quality honey instead of forest honey, tomatoes and mozzarella, and more fruit than a small bowl with just two kiwifruit and a huge pear. Staff were friendly, though they seemed a bit stressed and slow.

We found the owners, a friendly family, very welcoming and happy to chat. It’s worth talking to them about special requests or using the pool or sauna, and they’ll take care of everything. The guesthouse has a free pool, a sauna for a fee, a terrace, a small parking area, and a restaurant. Our room was comfortable and very clean, with its own bathroom. There’s a noisy main road nearby, but the beautiful surroundings made that easy to overlook. Breakfast was ample, and you could ask the owners for something specific, like salmon. The restaurant serves regional and international food late into the evening. Everything is homemade without pre-made ingredients, and it was delicious. There’s also a resident white German Shepherd named Balu. He’s very friendly and good with children, usually stays on the terrace or in the restaurant, and doesn’t go into the breakfast room.
