I’d put this at two or three stars, and chose three because it comes close. The location is excellent, with a park and the castle nearby for a walk and a bit of sightseeing. Most of the staff were friendly, and I liked being able to take some breakfast sweets in the afternoon. My room was okay, though it had carpet, which I’m not keen on because of how it wears and gets cleaned. The gym had towels, a water fountain, and disinfectant. It leaned more toward cardio than weights, but was still good. The Wi-Fi was really bad for me, which caused trouble when I had to work late or early. The gym wasn’t open around the clock and needed a key card. I didn’t understand that. I asked to use it before opening time, since 8 a.m. was too late, but was turned down. I only wanted to cycle quietly and, as a woman, avoid going outside in the dark, but that didn’t work out. Breakfast offered a good range, but the eggs were poor quality and not natural ones. The room was too small in my opinion, with a queue every morning and nowhere to sit. It may be good for the hotel, but I couldn’t get a quiet moment there. The outdoor parking spaces were quite small and cost €9. When I couldn’t get one, I had to use the garage, which cost a fortune, around €20. I couldn’t book it ahead and had to pay day by day.
