JustStay Ratingen Hotel & Apartments

There was no air conditioning, and the room stayed like an oven when it reached 37 Celsius, unusually hot, I know. Breakfast in a box was okay, and the value was reasonable, but the free coffee in the lounge was watery. We never received the door code, so I called the help number. A friendly woman said she'd email it, but didn't, and I had to call again 30 minutes later.

Everything was black, and the elevator was tiny. There was no coffee in the room. Two hotels looked alike, so finding the right one was difficult. There was free parking and a really good gym, though the suite was expensive.

A cozy, comfortable place with clean, quiet rooms and good value for money. The apart hotel is close to Ratingen's center and the business district, with Ratingen Ost train and bus station just five minutes away. There's a shared ground-floor area with snacks and drinks, plus a gym. Highly recommended.

The hotel itself was nice, clean, and well equipped, and I'd definitely recommend it. But the way early check-in was handled left me unhappy. Check-in was at 3pm, and I needed to arrive around 1pm for a wedding, so I paid the extra 10 euros they requested. Friends staying there had the same early check-in request, but when they called, the hotel told them there was no charge. It isn't about the money, it's the unequal treatment of guests asking for exactly the same thing. They should apply a clear policy consistently. That spoiled the end of my stay.
