Leonardo Hotel Düsseldorf Airport - Ratingen

Parking was a bonus, even at 15 euros extra. It felt safe, with good lighting and barriers at the entrance and exit. We had a fantastic stay, thanks in large part to the amazing staff, who were friendly, honest, and always ready to help. When we accidentally left an item behind, the reception team, especially Ledjana, made getting it back easy and stress-free. The facilities were clean and well maintained, including a lovely pool, a small but well-equipped gym, and relaxing sauna and shower areas. A really pleasant experience, with great service and amenities. I'd definitely recommend it.

The shuttle to the airport is quick and reliable, and costs EUR5 per person. There's a pool and sauna, and the rooms are adequate with clean bathrooms. It can get quite busy. The attached restaurant serves quick, straightforward meals at reasonable prices, with efficient service.

The restaurant service was excellent, especially from Mr. Siegfried and the team, but other parts of the stay were frustrating. I reported the broken door lock around three times and felt they took it lightly. Once, I waited a long time at reception before anyone came to help. I asked for a 5.40 am bus pickup, but it was arranged for 4.40 am, and the room cleaning I requested never happened. I felt the reception team paid less attention to me because I am Asian. I stayed here two years ago and had a good experience then.

Breakfast was fine, with bacon, eggs, bread, yogurt, and other options. The indoor pool stays open in winter and wasn't too cold, though it can get crowded. The outdoor sauna was really nice and also well used in the evening. The air-conditioning system heated the room well even on a cold winter day.
