What stayed with us most was how welcoming and professional everyone was. Ingrid, who worked the evening shifts during our stay, deserves a special mention. She made us feel at home from the moment we arrived, and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast staff had already learned our room number by the second morning, a small detail that showed how attentive the service was. We were there for Ironman 70.3 Kraichgau, and the hotel had clearly considered what competitors might need. We could keep our bikes in the room, which gave us peace of mind and one less thing to worry about before race day. The evening before, there was a special Ironman dinner menu in the beautiful covered courtyard, and breakfast started early at 5.30am on race morning. The hotel itself is lovely, but it's the people who make it special. We've stayed in hotels around the world, and the warmth and genuine hospitality here stood out. The Winzerhof is a superb example of Black Forest hospitality. We'd happily return and recommend it whether you're racing Ironman Kraichgau or visiting this beautiful part of Germany.

Our guests from out of town always look forward to eating at Winzerhof Restaurant. It's one of our favorite places, with regional specialties alongside more refined international dishes. The seasonal menus keep impressing us, from appetizers through mains and desserts, with excellent quality and presentation. A wide choice of fine wines and other drinks makes the meal even better.

We had a great stay. The hotel is quiet, comfortable, and welcoming to kids and pets. Rooms are spacious and clean, breakfast is included with plenty of local German choices, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. Guests can use the swimming pool, sauna, and fitness studio at no extra charge, and parking in front of the hotel is free too.

I looked forward to breakfast every morning. Along with the usual eggs and bacon, there was salmon, smoked trout, shrimp, sauces, and different seafood salads, all rich and very tasty. The room was spacious and comfortably furnished. I haven't had a hotel this good in a long time, and if I travel to this area again, it'll be a definite favorite.

Beautiful setting among the vineyards, super nice staff, and a great pool area. We lost some stars because the website only shows the freshly renovated rooms. Our room, and much of the hotel including the common areas, still felt very 90s. The massage room was more like a storage closet and had humidity damage. It was also really awkward to find a technician in our room without notice before we'd checked out. That wasn't good form.
