The beds did look clean, but everything else made for a disappointing and uncomfortable night, and it wasn’t worth the money. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. I paid €130 for one night while traveling from Croatia to Denmark. There were no staff on site; you get a code and let yourself in. The keys were left out in the reception area, which didn’t feel secure at all. The room smelled stale and musty, like it hadn’t been aired in a long time. It also wasn’t properly clean: the floor was sticky and dirty, and my feet turned black from walking barefoot. There was something in the bin that looked disturbingly like cat food. The hygiene was far below what I’d expect from a hotel at that price. Outside the window, a church tower rang every hour, sometimes every fifteen minutes, all night 😂

The hotel called in the middle of the night, just 15-20 minutes before we were due to arrive, and canceled my family room while I was traveling with my wife and our two children, aged 1 and 6. They said they’d refund the room or give us two rooms. I didn’t want two rooms, only my money back, but I never got the refund. This was the worst hotel, and I hope no one else has to go through the same thing.

The rooms aren't anything spectacular, but they're still pretty good, and I thought the quality for the price was great. The Stadthotel is in a quiet spot without being far from town. You can walk to the center in about 10 minutes, or get there in 2 minutes by bus. :)

I got to the hotel at 11:30 pm, half an hour after booking and getting my card confirmation. There was nobody there, and nobody answered either of the two listed phone numbers. The next day, a hotel staff member called back and shouted at me, giving me orders and making personal, offensive remarks. It was a shocking experience.

The owners were really friendly and went out of their way to help. The hotel was clean and nice, and breakfast was good. The service was certainly above the market standard, especially for a price below the market average.
