We were five and had plenty of room, thanks to the extra bed. The apartment is bright, welcoming, quiet, and well set up for a comfortable stay, with a small covered terrace and a private parking space in the large lot out front. Its location is especially handy: the state border is only a few steps away, public transport and driving are both easy, and Hamburg's center and sights are quick to reach. There's plenty nearby, too, including a small Edeka and a Sunday-open bakery just steps away, a restaurant next door with delicious food, and a burger place within a short walk. A beautiful apartment, and a particularly appealing option given how few vacation rentals there seem to be in Hamburg.

The place was clean, well equipped, and the landlord was nice. Just be careful with directions: searching Google Maps for the Hamburg Rosengarten vacation apartment took us to a guesthouse instead. The parking lot entrance is about 100 meters around the corner.

Everything about the process was straightforward. The apartment itself is fantastic, and it’s clear the owners thought carefully about what they bought. The furnishings and appliances are lovely, and everything works. I especially appreciated the home office, along with the garage, well-equipped kitchen, and high-quality TVs that worked perfectly wirelessly.
