B&B Hotel Rosenheim

We stayed here on the way home from Croatia, and it worked really well for our family. Booking a family room was easy, arriving late was fine, and the digital check-in meant there were no key cards to keep track of. Parking in the spacious garage was easy too. The hotel is clean, stylish, simple, and affordable.

Breakfast was great, with enough to eat even if the choices weren’t especially varied. The hotel looks new, and the small room was fine for arriving, sleeping, and leaving in the morning. On our first visit the carpet beside the bed and the shower still had dirt on them. The TV didn’t work, or at least its remote wouldn’t respond, and the beds were a little narrower than I expected, though I got used to them. People chatting outside in the green area late at night could bother anyone sleeping with the windows open, especially in summer. I’d come back because it’s a cheap and suitable place to stay.

The rooms were excellent, and the location is great for the price. The reception staff seemed so disinterested, though. When I asked about parking, they just directed me to the garage behind the hotel, which cost 16 Euros for the night. I paid when I took my car out, then noticed a sign at reception saying B&B guests pay 12 Euros. The staff hadn’t mentioned that rate, and when I asked, they said there was nothing they could do since I’d already paid. They should talk to guests and guide them properly from the start.

It’s a basic place, but has what you need. The train station is right next door and downtown is just around the corner. Breakfast isn’t elaborate, though it covers the essentials. There’s not much reason to deal with staff, especially since there’s no checkout, but they’re friendly when you do.
