The rooms, location, and breakfast were all very good. I took off a star because check-in was delayed. There was no staff on site, just a note by the door telling you to call a number when you arrive. I didn't have a local SIM, so I couldn't call. I stood outside in below-zero weather for 15 minutes, freezing, until someone answered the chat in the booking app and sent someone to let me in.

The owner and his son were so welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help. Breakfast was delicious, and the hotel is conveniently placed within walking distance of all the attractions. Highly recommend it to any traveler.

The breakfast buffet was just what you'd expect in Germany, with a really complete selection. Some rooms have been renovated; they're simple but adequate. The location is great, the owner is friendly, and the price is good for what you get.

We had a nice, clean room and a good breakfast, and the staff made us feel very welcome. The centre of Rothenburg is close by, an easy walk away.
