Ringhotel Johanniterbad

We were really disappointed and surprised by this stay. At €138 a night, the room had no kettle for tea or coffee, or fridge, which I would expect at that price, especially in a small town during a quiet period. It also looked quite old, unlike the photos online, so it seems many rooms haven't been renovated. Ours, like many others, was at street level, with parked cars and pedestrians right outside the window, as shown in the photo. The worst part came at check-in. The two women at reception could see we had a baby in a pram, but gave us a room in an adjoining building with no elevator. We had to carry the pram up and down four separate sets of stairs each time. At first we thought we'd taken a wrong turn, but we hadn't. I checked online and saw many other room types were still available, so the hotel didn't seem full. Maybe we weren't worth a free upgrade to a 'higher class' room in case a last-minute booking came in and they could earn another €20.

Friendly staff, a good location, and there's a car park at the hotel. The breakfast was good and reasonably priced. My room was modern, new, and clean, with a comfortable bed and a strong shower that kept a steady temperature. Recommended!

I've stayed here more than 5 times, and keep coming back. It's absolutely the best hotel in town, right in a great spot in the old city. The crew are very pleasant, breakfast is great, and the restaurant is amazing, the best in town. The rooms are comfortable and have lots of space. I really recommend it.

There's plenty to see and walk to nearby, and both the restaurant and breakfast are great. The rooms are spacious, clean, modern, and comfortable, with a very nice shower and bathroom. A great place.
