The chef came out to greet us when he had a break, and the service was friendly. The Kalbschnitzel and Rösti were especially good. The Rösti was golden and crisp, with a light crust, but still soft enough to fall apart like a soufflé. The Kalbschnitzel was tender and full of flavor. It was a simple dish done with real care, and we got a fresh sense of Swabian friendliness here.

The breakfast was super fresh and tasty, and there was enough for me. I was happy with it. The host was welcoming, the beds were nice, and the rooms had a good amount of space. The shower was compact. There’s a balcony with a view and private parking.

We had a confirmed booking by email, but still weren’t given a room. We were hiking with a child and our backpacks, and were told we should have checked the reservation again. Finding somewhere else within walking distance was extremely difficult. When we called, the owner was very unfriendly and didn’t try to help.

The rooms were quiet and very clean, and we’d be happy to return. The inn has been fully renovated, and the innkeeper is attentive to his guests and a very good cook. The food was top quality, made with fresh ingredients, including homemade rösti and schnitzel.

Herr Meili made our weekend especially lovely. He’s a charming owner who takes very good care of his guests, and the breakfast is generous. The guesthouse is up in the mountains and has typical mountain decor. Our room was spacious, 30 m², with a large balcony. There are lots of hikes nearby, as well as lakes and waterfalls. A place worth seeing! Thanks for a great weekend. We’ll be back.
