There are some really good places to explore nearby, especially if you’re into Riesling. I also had a very enjoyable evening sampling as many wines as I could. The food was good, and our family room was roomy and well equipped.

We had a great view through all those windows, and even caught a double rainbow above the castle on the hillside over the river. The meal was excellent, and the Riesling tasting was a pleasant surprise for someone like me who doesn’t usually like wine. There were plenty of varieties and vintages to try, and you could really taste how much a year can change the wine.

We came across this place while taking a break from cycling, and the food turned out to be memorable and delicious. Lunch was a little pricey, though I was surprised by how good it was. The view across the Rhine toward the town was fantastic. Service felt very German, but everyone was friendly enough, and they were happy to speak English.

The view of the Rhine is worth enjoying in daylight. We had very good food, with portions that felt just right, and the service was really friendly. There’s a good range of wines to taste at the restaurant, and you can buy bottles too. I’ll definitely come back.
