We cooked for ourselves in the BAUMWIPFELPFAD apartment, which was tastefully decorated and super clean. There was plenty of everything, including two coffee machines and a guest freezer for our groceries. The host family were really friendly and helpful. Our car broke down on Whit Saturday, and they helped us look for a repair shop. Our son’s already planning another trip!!!

At night it was so quiet you could hear a pin drop, and there’s what’s probably one of Germany’s best pizzerias right across the street. We got a super friendly, warm welcome. Our room was brand new and much nicer than we expected, with great lighting. First-aid supplies were also available in the hallway.

I spent three nights over the Corpus Christi holiday in the "Cherry" studio apartment with my five-year-old son. It felt very comfortable there. The place was practically new, tidy, and very, very clean. As self-caterers, we had all we needed: dishes, cutlery, a fridge, toaster, and two coffee makers. There was even a freezer compartment for guests in the hallway. My son watched Kika and the Disney Channel while I made meals. The pizzeria across the street is said to be very good, though we didn’t try it. Mrs. and Mr. Liebl were lovely and gave us a detailed information folder with a hiking map and a national park map. Along with the national park and treetop walkway, the outdoor pool and summer toboggan run in Grafenau are worth a visit. The national park card gets you 50% off at the pool and 30% more rides on the toboggan run.

We had the double room "Rachel" for three nights in April 2018. It was clean, modern, and came with a fridge, freezer, and Senseo coffee machine. The breakfast buffet was tasty and generous, and if the weather’s good you can eat outside. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating, sharing lots of helpful excursion tips and information when we arrived. There are plenty of hiking trails nearby, and places like the treetop walkway and Lusen mountain are easy to reach by car. The pizzeria "Da Luigi" is right next door and serves delicious wood-fired pizza.
