The terrace is lovely, and the waiting staff were friendly and professional. The food was the best in town, served to a very high standard at a fair price. It’s child friendly, too. You do seem to need a reservation, and after eating there, I can see why. Highly recommended.

We visited twice last summer, and I’ve finally gotten around to writing this. We were warmly welcomed at both the hotel and its restaurant. Dinner was excellent, prepared with care and served with real attention to customers. The dessert "Apfelküchle im Bierteig" was a delight, and breakfast was perfect. We have lovely memories of our stays, highly recommend the place, and would be delighted to return.

The food was good, though not outstanding, and the portions still left room for dessert, even for us, as we don’t eat much, especially in the evening. We came because of the Tripadvisor ranking, but the meal wasn’t what we expected. It was a weekday in the postseason, and since we hadn’t reserved, we arrived early in the evening, right when they opened. Asking for a table for two already felt rushed, and that hurried pace continued through ordering and serving. One dish came out cold; they fixed it, but with a disbelieving remark. Dinner took about 50 minutes, which felt too quick for a classic meal, though fine for a snack or fast food. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re after a nice spontaneous dinner.

We had a great meal at the restaurant, and the Kaiserschmarrn was a favorite for dessert. There’s a full German menu and a shorter English one, though it leaves some dishes out. My wiener schnitzel with cheese noodles wasn’t listed on the English menu.
