The area is wonderfully quiet and relaxing, and the terrace is mega nice. The pizza from the pizzeria downstairs was fantastic!!!!!!! We spent a beautiful week here and would recommend Blickfang 100%. The housekeeper was very nice :-) The place looks just like the owner's photos, aside from maybe a few small changes. The living room is cozy, and the kitchen had enough of everything. The bathrooms are great, especially the one on the ground floor. All three bedrooms have comfortable double beds, and each has a wardrobe with a TV. A few extra touches would have been nice, like one more pillow and maybe a fly screen on one of the windows. We gladly give it five stars, Markus, Paule & Gabriele.

The house makes a very nice impression, with modern furniture, lots of windows, a large balcony, and a big sauna. The location is beautiful and quiet. Still, a few details keep it from being perfect. The stairs creak loudly, some cooking utensils are missing, and the toilet seats are loose. The stairwell lights seem to be falling out, the balcony railing paint is peeling, and resin is leaking from sauna boards that weren't dry before installation. It feels like construction may have been rushed.

Schierke has everything you need, and there's a fantastic Italian restaurant just 100 meters below the lodge. The lodge itself is superb, furnished with care and clearly without cutting corners. We had everything we needed, and the quality throughout was excellent. The sauna fits up to six adults and has a lovely adjoining terrace to relax on. We had a wonderful stay at Blickfang Lodge with friends and children. Simply perfect!

There's lots for young and old to do in the area, and the lodge itself was fantastic. The only issue was the towel supply: two per person feels far too few when there's a sauna.

The cabin is absolutely first class, a perfect base for exploring the Harz Mountains. There's a fantastic restaurant right next door. It really doesn't get better!
