The rooms are very clean and have everything you need. The hosts were welcoming and happy to accommodate our requests. Breakfast was plentiful, and we had two lovely evenings there. You can also buy beer and wine on site. My husband and I will definitely stay again when we need somewhere peaceful.

We had a pleasant surprise during our weekend stay. The owners were very friendly, and when we asked if there was anything else we needed, it was brought straight to us. Breakfast was good, traditional food like you'd have at home. We'd be happy to come back.

We were four couples staying at the guesthouse, and we’d gladly return. It’s beautifully set on the outskirts of Oberkirchen and makes a great starting point for hikes. The rooms are nicely decorated with old farmhouse cupboards, and the house’s concept is carried through beautifully. We felt very comfortable there. The owners were attentive and cared about their guests’ well-being. We enjoyed sitting together in the evenings. On arrival, the lady of the house explained the guest cards and gave us ideas for things to do. The next day, the owner drove part of our group to the Schanze Alpine pasture while the rest went hiking. There were many negative reviews, but we didn’t let them put us off and made up our own minds. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful, with homemade jam, eggs, bread, and rolls.

The rooms were clean and tidy, and the breakfast and dinner were very good. But the owners didn’t treat guests as I’d expect at a guesthouse. If guests aren’t welcome in the garden or on the terrace, that needs to be communicated differently. The drink selection wasn’t great, either. They didn’t have what we wanted, and when we bought something from the guesthouse, we were rudely told it was for sale there. There’s definitely room for improvement in the way guests are treated. If you only need a place to sleep and a good meal, though, this is a good option. I spent two nights there with my family.
