The food was excellent, and the Catena wine from Argentina made lunch fabulous 😍. The staff could use some training to improve the wine service.

We ate here twice, and everything we ordered was really tasty. There’s a good range of dishes, including several vegetarian and fish options, and the dessert menu has lots of appealing choices. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, though it can get busy in the evening. A reservation may be useful, especially on weekends.

The waiter was friendly, spoke good English, and told us a bit about the place’s rich history and the menu. We’d landed at Stoffels on All Saints Day, when almost everything in town was closed, so we weren’t sure what to expect. The bar and restaurant sections give it a really nice atmosphere. The dishes were made with local ingredients and prepared authentically. My locally hunted deer goulash was the best I’ve ever tasted, and the other dishes were really good too. If you’re nearby and want authentic German food, eat at Stoffels. It’s a popular, fairly small place, so be sure to reserve by phone.

We went twice during our Sauerland holiday. It’s in a historic building with a nice atmosphere, and the staff were friendly. The food was good value, and I’d recommend it.

The food is good quality and not too expensive, and it’s a great spot to sit outside with a beer. Just be aware that the English menu doesn’t match the German menus.
