Der Schnuckenhof

Breakfast was generous and tasty, and we enjoyed eating at the family table. The family atmosphere felt nice, and the meals were good. We also found the beekeeping demonstration really interesting. It was a cozy, rustic, wonderfully quiet place, and we had a very enjoyable stay. I'd recommend it to anyone who values peace and quiet.

You can buy Heidschnucke products here, from fleece to meat, though they were out of meat when we visited, so ordering ahead seems sensible. We ate roast Heidschnucke and Heidschnucke goulash, both delicious. The inn is rustic and small, with room for about 40 guests, and offers Heidschnucke in many forms. Everything is cooked fresh, so bring a little patience, and it's a good idea to book a table in advance. We felt very comfortable and would definitely return if we're in the area again.

Hello, I can't recommend the Schnuckenhof at all. We left after only one day because the experience was a disaster and the staff were very unfriendly. We didn't get our money back either.

The hosts put a lot of effort into keeping guests happy, including at breakfast and with any requests. On the lamb walk, we learned lots of interesting things about the Lüneburg Heath and Heidschnucken sheep. Afterwards, the spit-roasted Heidschnucken meal was delicious and very well organized.
