Tannenhaus

A fantastic hotel and restaurant. The rooms were clean, and the fridge was stocked for guests to enjoy. The restaurant had outstanding service and delicious food.

The sauna was a calming oasis, and the attentive staff helped make our stay memorable. We had a double room looking out over the quiet woods, a lovely place to unwind. The breakfast was luxurious, with fresh juices, and dinner had beautiful options, including tremendous vegetarian choices. My stay at Hotel Tannenhaus was a satisfying retreat, with comfort, great food, and warm hospitality. It’s a standout in Schöneck, and I’m already looking forward to coming back.

We celebrated a birthday at Tannenhaus in Schöneck today, and the food surprised us with its quality. It can hold its own against some of the best I’ve tried around the world, and I’ve never had anything like it in this part of Germany. The interior feels upscale and is finished to a high standard. Most of the service was excellent, though one waiter came across as a little impatient and blunt. Aside from that, the experience was impeccable from start to finish. We’ll certainly return when we’re next in the area.

The atmosphere is nice and the beer was alright, but the food quality doesn’t justify the prices. The pasta sauce was unbalanced, and it contained truffle oil that the menu didn’t mention. Truffle has a very distinctive smell and taste, so it’s simply not for everyone. One star for the beer and one for the atmosphere.
