Bio Hotel Amadeus Schwerin

I stayed here for one night in 2017, and I’ve only just remembered I had to write a review. It was easily the most comfortable hotel stay I’ve had. The hotel is a short walk from the main train station, and town is close by too. My single room had an ensuite bathroom and was immaculate, cleaner and more sterile than a hospital. The décor was perfect, and the room felt like home rather than a hotel. The trains didn’t bother me, since I don’t mind background noise. That’s a personal thing, though. If I came back, I’d choose a room facing the tracks because I like it! The owner was fantastic, so pleasant and kind, and made me feel right at home. Breakfast in the little café was delicious. I also enjoyed chatting with the owner about his time in Austria and how he started the hotel. If the Alpha Festival returns to Schwerin, I’ll stay here again. I highly recommend it.

The owner was very friendly and chatty, and the hotel has a slight Austrian theme, even down to Austrian wines in the minibar. It’s within walking distance of both the railway station and the old city. The trains do pass close by, though, and can make the building shake a little.

The rooms were clean and modern, and breakfast was nice in the winter garden. You can sit outside even when it’s raining. It’s close to the train station, so I’d recommend it to train lovers.

The rooms are basic, but have everything you need. The owner was really nice and super friendly, and check-in and check-out were easy. Breakfast was nice too.
