Hotel Niederländischer Hof Schwerin

We had a baby and a toddler with us and were very happy with our stay. The staff were so helpful and couldn’t have been friendlier, and breakfast was great. It’s a fantastic hotel, an easy walk from the train station, with the castle and tons of restaurants within walking distance. Couldn’t recommend it enough.

There’s a great walking path right outside the hotel, along the lake, and the location worked perfectly for travelling with our dog. Dogs are catered for and allowed in the restaurant.

Our room on the 3rd floor had an amazing lake view, and it was large and beautiful. We had a magical stay in Schwerin at this lovely hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the old city and castle are just a short walk away. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Schwerin.

The restaurant was excellent, with a wide selection of local dishes that were well presented and very tasty. The rooms are spacious, and the rich fabrics give the place an almost romantic feel. The location is also excellent, just two minutes from the train station and city center. The WiFi is slow and unreliable across the property, so don’t expect to browse easily. Some rooms feel dated, and I’d avoid room number 4xx. In September and October, expect lots of mosquitoes and spiders, since the hotel is close to a small lake.
