The owner was super friendly and had an excellent service mindset. The family room on the top floor was super cozy, though the stairs are steep. It’s an old building on a large city road. The old town is within walking distance, but it isn’t super close.

The room was small, as you’d expect for a single room, but the bed had space underneath for storage, so it worked out well. I was also pleasantly surprised by the modern bathroom, tucked behind glass at one side of the room. The house is under a preservation order, so I hadn’t expected that. Breakfast the next morning was at the cute café next door, and I liked the stay very much. The guest house is well located and clean, with the owner’s attention to detail easy to see. It has only five rooms, so it’s worth keeping the room size in mind rather than comparing it with a hotel chain. I’d come back if I’m in the area again. On arrival day, I got a message saying I could check in much earlier than the usual 3pm time. I texted back my arrival time, and Mrs. Peters was waiting for me to explain the facilities and things to do.

A nice guesthouse to stay in Schwerin! The lady speaks English and is really friendly. We had a very nice stay!
