The rooms felt small and weren’t that clean, and the hosts weren’t accommodating. We also had to arrive before a set time, and they said they wouldn’t clean every night or so. €500 for two rooms for two nights is super expensive, and it’s too far from the city center. Don’t recommend.

Breakfast was generous, with homemade jam, cheese, cold cuts, coffee and tea, plus eggs and rolls. When I checked in, they asked right away what I’d like for breakfast the next day. The owner is incredibly friendly and really accommodating, and my room was spotless and nicely furnished. I had a wonderful stay and would definitely pick this guesthouse again. :)

The warm welcome and friendly atmosphere made up for some amenities that might be missing, since this is a guesthouse rather than a luxury hotel. I stayed just one night on a motorcycle tour and came away with nothing but praise. One thing to know if you’re using public transport: the nearby bus stop has infrequent service and none late in the evening. The next stop with more frequent buses, "Kliniken" (Clinics), is about a 1.2 km walk.

The rooms are bright, welcoming and comfortably furnished, but it was the feeling of the whole house that stood out. Hardly anything had changed there for years, yet now the place feels lighter, almost as if it can breathe again. You can sense the fresh energy and care the new owners are bringing to it. The new hosts are a rare kind of couple, so warm and genuinely happy in what they do. From the first moment, we felt welcome, almost like friends rather than guests. A coffee by the fireplace and a stay here will stay with you. We wish them lots of joy with their country house and would love to return. Warmest regards, René and Angie
