I chose the surprise menu on both of my visits, and would recommend it. It includes dishes that aren't on the regular menu, though the menu itself isn't very varied. The food was so beautiful, with lots of little elements and different flavors, it almost seemed a shame to eat it. There was plenty to eat, and the price felt cheap for this kind of restaurant. Dinner was amazing, and the service was both friendly and quick. I hadn't expected much from the restaurant's standard-looking setting. The two stickers at the entrance saying it was featured in the Michelin guide in 2015 and 2016 looked a bit out of place, too. Still, this was the best restaurant I've ever eaten in, with great food and service in a laid-back atmosphere and a great location.

The apartment is in a typical Fachwerkhaus and has been renovated. It felt both old and fresh. Highly recommended for a cool experience.
