For our wedding anniversary, we wanted somewhere romantic that also had plenty to do. We joined a wine tour and a night walk, and spent time in the hotel spa. The tour, led by the hotel and winery owner, was in German but extremely informative. We learned how wine is grown in the Mosel area and why wines from this region are famous around the world. We tasted about six wines with snacks, and our dinner came with three more, one each for the appetizer, main course, and dessert. The wines paired well with the meals, and dinner was fantastic. Huge thanks to the kitchen! The night walk covered local history and legends. We met wonderful people and laughed a lot. The hotel staff were super helpful, friendly, and professional, and I think management chose them well. Our room was lovely and very clean, with an amazing view of the castle. Breakfast had everything you could want, including homemade marmalade, omelets made for you, and a wide choice of breads, cheeses, and cold cuts. We even got a little goodbye bag for the drive home. It was a wonderful weekend, and we’ll definitely come back. Thanks to everyone at the hotel for making our anniversary unforgettable!

The reception staff were very unfriendly when we arrived, so I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. The first room they offered was far below our expectations and didn’t match the price we paid. If an upgrade is included in a package, it shouldn’t become a discussion because of availability. The modern room we moved to after the first night was the quality we expected for that price.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and a room with a Mosel view has stunning scenery. Breakfast was plentiful and good quality, served in a cozy, nicely decorated area. The rooms were clean and comfortable, though the bathrooms are small, which is understandable in an older building. The open shower splashes water all over the bathroom. Keeping the pressure low is the only way to avoid it, but then rinsing off, especially washing your hair, is uncomfortable. Breakfast on the terrace could be lovely in Cochem’s fresh, green surroundings, but some guests smoke several cigarettes while eating. There are no ashtrays on the tables, which seems intended to discourage it, yet some people still smoke, throw butts into the plants, and flick ash onto the ground. It smells unpleasant, feels unhygienic, and ruins the atmosphere. The staff noticed but didn’t step in. On a beautiful day, we sometimes felt we had to eat inside to avoid the smoke. I think breakfast should be smoke-free. The wellness facilities are appealing, but a stay can get pricey, especially if you want to use them. Almost everything costs extra, with no reduced rates for hotel guests, so the bill climbs quickly on top of the already high room prices. The hotel is about a 20-25 minute walk from the center, fine in good weather but a bit of a distance. Parking beside the hotel is small, around 12 cars, and if it’s full you need to park elsewhere. The hotel can suggest spots farther away, but they’re not ideal. Driving into town risks losing your space when you return, so you may have to search again in the evening. We still had a very enjoyable stay. It’s a great option if you want to treat yourself in Cochem, enjoy beautiful views, and don’t mind spending a bit more.

A lovely place for a getaway, with three types of saunas, a nice indoor pool, and excellent massages. Our room was spacious and very clean. The food was delicious at both breakfast and dinner, with lots of choices, including healthy and vegan-friendly options. The staff were so helpful and welcoming. They left us a birthday cake and wine with some chocolate.

We felt completely at ease during our stay and remember it fondly. The hotel is beautiful, the staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was really pleasant. We truly enjoyed our time there.
