I paid on Airbnb for a room for three, though I planned to stay with one other person, making two of us. The owner approved that. The next day, she messaged saying she'd priced it wrong and wanted three times the amount I'd already paid. I refused, and she threatened to cancel unless I paid more. I didn't think she could do that, but she did. She also used abusive language with me. That left me without accommodation, searching for a replacement at 19:00 that day. Two days later, the online price was still the same as the amount I'd paid. When you book, she will want three times that.

The landlady still cooks herself, and the food is really good. We've stayed three times and are going again this year. It's not far from Passau or the surrounding area. We highly recommend this guesthouse for a budget-friendly, no-frills holiday.

The food was tasty and plentiful, both at dinner yesterday and breakfast today. I only arrived on Sunday, so I still need to try more of it. The rooms are furnished nicely and with care, and the place is clean and inexpensive. The owner helps however she can. Apparently lots of older holidaymakers have already been here ten times!

Renata was a very friendly landlady, and from the first day we felt at home. We spent seven nights at the Salzsäumerhof and would gladly return. Many thanks to this wonderful hostess and her hardworking helper.
