Jagdschloss Quitzin

A little-known gem for anyone after peace, quiet, and a secluded, intimate setting. The stylish rooms and lovely atmosphere speak for themselves, and the barn has plenty of room for larger events. I was here on June 22nd, 2019, to style a bride’s hair.

The place is really special and definitely worth a stay. Although the hotel wasn’t officially opening until February, I was able to book at short notice. The owners were very friendly and helpful, and I’d like to thank them again. I’d love to return if I get the chance.

It’s a lovely old little castle, in the owners’ hands, with nice rooms and a great breakfast. There’s a holiday apartment too. Grimmen is 10 minutes away for shopping or going out to eat, and it’s a lovely old town. The castle is a good place to relax, very quiet, and you wake to birdsong. There are still some very old trees, the owners are very nice, and the rooms are very clean. There’s Wi-Fi and a TV, so it’s a peaceful holiday spot. Unfortunately there’s no elevator, so it’s only suitable for people who can still climb stairs, unless you stay in the holiday apartment on the ground floor. Dogs are welcome too!

It’s an old hunting lodge, beautifully furnished, and completely secluded and quiet. The drawback is that there’s nowhere to get food or a drink here in the evening, so you have to drive into town when you’re hungry. Not much fun after a 500 km drive.
