I opened the curtains early in the morning and got a wonderful view of the rheas having breakfast in their enclosure right outside my window. My room was clean and modernized, with a starry sky across the ceiling and walls that made for a lovely atmosphere. The mattresses were very supportive and comfortable, and the hotel was wonderfully quiet. I spent one night at Hotel Zur Wildtränke in Spremberg and wholeheartedly recommend it. There’s also a wildlife enclosure on site where visitors can feed the animals. Absolutely lovely!

We paid €8.50 to park our campervan on the meadow beside the rhea enclosure. The pitch came with electricity, water and toilets. They also offer breakfast, or you can order bread rolls. The service was really friendly.
