There was plenty of coffee at breakfast, and the landlady was helpful, even if she might come across as reserved at first to more sensitive guests. My single room was small but very practical. The blackout blinds were a nice touch, and the bathroom was spotless, with proper fixtures and fresh towels every day. The bed was so comfortable I never wanted to get out of it.

The room and bathroom both seemed clean. The linens smelled fresh, and unlike some other reviews, I didn’t see any mold. The room was quite old-fashioned, and the bathroom could use an update. What really should have been there was hand soap, but there wasn’t any, nor were there shower gel or shampoo. I can understand people bringing their own shampoo and shower products, but hand soap is different. We also had no hot water. I’m not sure why, maybe it had run out and was still heating. When we arrived, the welcome felt a bit strange: someone asked through a window what we wanted and whether we had a reservation. There was no ordinary check-in or reception. For a moment, it felt like the opening of a thriller.

We spent four days here as a group of seven. It was cheap, and the staff were generally friendly. But when we were checking out, someone told us in a flippant tone that there was no coffee, even though none of us had asked for any. There doesn’t seem to be a reception. You have to get lucky and run into one of the operators. We didn’t book breakfast, so I can’t say much about it, but other guests told us they wanted breakfast around 7:30 and the operators had overslept, so it was delayed or cancelled. In several rooms, the bathroom fittings were loose, there was serious mold in the bathrooms, and the smoke detectors had been removed. In one room, there were bloodstains on the walls and roughly patched holes by the bed. The photos show these issues. The whole hotel carries sound badly: loud snoring can be heard through the building, and whenever anyone uses water, the pipes can be heard everywhere. All in all, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. I’d spend a bit more for somewhere decent instead of sleeping uncomfortably.

We booked two double rooms with breakfast for a wedding we were invited to. The rooms were clean as can be and furnished for practical use. Breakfast for €3.00 is hard to beat.

A really nice hotel. Clean, comfortable beds, and it had everything we needed.
