Apartmenthaus

The room bore little resemblance to the photos. It was tiny, up on the third floor with no elevator, and had very basic furnishings. There wasn't a real kitchenette, just a very small one, and the stovetop took ages to heat. The bed was the worst part: the mattress was worn-out foam, nowhere near a seven-zone comfort mattress, and the bed itself felt like a child's bed. The pillows gave no support even folded over three times, the sheet was dirty, and the duvet was so thin I was cold. The heating didn't work properly either. The shower was mostly cold, the internet slow, and the old TV picture was full of static. The porter was friendly but didn't help. I moved out on my own after a few days and didn't ask for a refund. I travel often for work and usually book aparthotels because I like making my own evening meals and need a kitchen and decent amenities. The place in Bonn where we've been staying for a month is a complete contrast: for €870 a month for two people, we have a spacious room, separate kitchenette, hot shower, and a normal bed with a proper mattress, pillow, and blanket. I find it frustrating that there aren't centrally located Stuttgart hotels for business travelers with both a kitchen and washing machine. The owner says the problems have been fixed, but in February I still found the defects mentioned in earlier reviews. I don't expect luxury, but at this price I expected better. Never again. I'm afraid this can only get one star.
