Holiday Inn - the niu, Form Stuttgart Feuerbach by IHG

I couldn’t wait to check out. The room was freezing when I came back from meetings, and at first I thought the AC had been switched off. Then I realized the window had been left open all day in nearly freezing weather. The basics were missing elsewhere too. The soap dispensers were empty, with no hand soap or shower gel, and I had to ask twice at reception before getting a bottle. They didn’t have lotion either. The open shower may look interesting, but water spread across the bathroom floor, so I put down a towel to keep it from flooding the carpet. There was no wardrobe or closet, safe, or mini fridge/bar, and the work table was so tiny my laptop barely fit. Breakfast was okay. The hotel looks modern, but felt like all form and no function. My room had two tiny twin beds pushed together. When I asked for a full bed, I was told that was the standard room. Customer service was tepid at best.

The room design is colorful and looks amazing, and breakfast was 10/10 with everything available at a great room-plus-breakfast price. There’s a train station about 3 minutes away with service to Stuttgart central station, and they offer free baggage storage. One of Stuttgart’s best hotels, I recommend staying here.

The front desk team deserve recognition for being professional and helpful. The rooms are good and have a nice view, and the location is one of the best things about the hotel. For what I paid, though, I expected a mini fridge. I had to bring an ice bucket, and when the ice melted it dripped all over the room. Aside from that, it’s a great hotel.

I chose this good hotel because it was between the two museums I planned to visit. It was very clean, nicely presented, and the staff were helpful.
