Sonneneck Schwarzwald

Good quality breakfast, a clean place and a friendly owner and staff. It's centrally located and great value. We were really happy with our stay, it couldn't have been better.

We stayed for three nights while hiking in the Black Forest, and the location was hard to beat, just a stone's throw from the train station, bus station and lake, with restaurants and shops all around. We planned a late check-in, and staff called with the access codes so we could get into our room easily. Breakfast was simple but good. The team were super helpful, sharing local tour information and providing the hochschwarzwald and konus cards. Hotel Sonneneck earns 10/10 for service and amenities. Strongly recommended for a holiday in Titisee.

The hotel was cozy and clean, and the location was great. I tried booking two nights through Booking, but it didn't work, so as a couple we booked separate nights under different names. I had a balcony on the first day but not the second, which was a little disappointing. The staff were professional and helped move my things to the new room, putting everything where it had been. Breakfast was good, though it could use more vegetarian choices since there was much more meat. The older man at reception, perhaps the boss, talked too much about sensitive subjects and cultures, so it's better to avoid him. I also added two pictures that I found funny, but they weren't in a good way. Titisee is a great place, and it's worth making use of the tourist card.

This small hotel is in a quiet little town, with clean, spacious rooms and a modest but satisfying breakfast. The calm atmosphere seems mostly geared toward older guests.
