Landal Mont Royal

I can only give one star because of the restaurant staff, not the location or the rooms. One gentleman was very rude, and it left us feeling unwelcome, as if he resented even being paid for the service we asked for. Such a pity in a beautiful place. His behavior really spoiled the experience.

We visited in 2023, and that view from the top of the mountain is reason enough to recommend the park. The whole Mosel area is breathtaking, one of the loveliest parts of Germany. The park was clean, quiet, and pleasant, with really friendly employees, plus a restaurant and a small shop for food and drinks. Our house was cute, though a bit cramped, especially the bathroom. Still, I’d recommend it for the view alone. 😍🤩👍🏻🇩🇪

We had a really relaxing stay in house 19. It was very quiet, and the nature around us made it feel like home away from home. The house was tastefully and comfortably furnished, modern in style, and had everything we needed. We were two people with a dog, and since it sleeps six, there was lots of space. We also had two parking spots, plus a terrace with a table, chairs, and sun umbrella. Reception was friendly. The store carried groceries, toiletries, and good Mosel wines, and had a lovely view over the Mosel Bend too. No complaints from us. :)

The pool and location were good, and the place was clean, but the layout didn't work well for our three families. There were 12 of us, the stated capacity, yet one family with a child had to sleep upstairs. The two larger bedrooms downstairs suited families with children better, while the upstairs rooms would work for kids who can sleep on their own. The upstairs room wasn't really suitable for a couple and a child. Some practical details could be better: the lighting was very dim, several dining chairs were old and torn, and hand soap in the toilets would be useful. We could also have used more dishwasher tablets and small pans for making tea.
