Zum Goldenen Rössle

It was a low-budget kind of hotel, but the people in charge were kind and tried to meet our needs. We booked online and arrived around 20:00, but the manager wasn't there. The only person available to help spoke Italian and German, no English. Still, he kindly got us into our room so we could sleep. At breakfast the next morning, the woman in charge spoke English and served my family and me, which made everything much easier. At checkout she said they had to add a tax of €2.50 per person. She showed us a paper in German that we couldn't understand and said the money went to the "city." We weren't sure what to make of it, but paid the extra amount. The room had cost €90 to begin with, so that raised the price by a couple of percent 😳

A pretty hotel, and the attendant was friendly and nice. I'd recommend the massage, it was really good and relaxing. We'll definitely come back!

The rooms were clean and the location was good, but there was no restaurant open for dinner. We had to drive into Triberg through a rainstorm to find food.

The dinners and breakfasts were superb, fresh and delicious, and the rooms were lovely, clean, rustic, and comfortable. It's a cozy inn in a quiet spot, not far from the waterfalls, and you feel at home right away. The staff were especially warm and welcoming. Do try the massage, I highly recommend it. We felt very much at home.
