The food was good and the service too. On busy evenings it can take a while for your meal to arrive, but that’s how it goes when everything’s cooked fresh.

I’ve been here a few times for dinner with friends and family. There’s a good range of food, including several vegetarian choices, and everything I’ve tried has been tasty, filling, and fairly cheap. I don’t drink beer, but others say the beer from their own brewery is good. I think they have burger days on Fridays and Sundays, with a few big, delicious burgers to pick from. The staff are usually really nice and don’t forget about you. The wait can get pretty long, though. It’s also very loud and warm inside. You can sit outside, where it’s quieter, but I’ve never tried that myself. It’s a decent option, and I’d give it a 7/10, nearly an 8.

The breakfast was good and had plenty of choice, and the staff were attentive and lovely. We stayed one night while travelling through. It was Ruhetag, so we got a code to collect the room key from a cupboard. A little impersonal, but it worked. The room was clean, spacious, and tidy. We didn’t eat at the hotel apart from breakfast because of Ruhetag.

A handy stop on the way to Munich or farther south, especially if you need somewhere with access around the clock and a locked courtyard for your car. The rooms are clean and spacious, breakfast is a real treat, and there’s home-brewed beer alongside the south German food you’d expect. Great place.
