The apartment is spacious, bright, and beautifully equipped, with quality appliances like the fridge and cooker. In Ulm’s historic centre and just 50 metres from the paid parking lot, it felt luxurious, and everything went smoothly once I got in. My deposit was returned within a couple of days, and I’ll probably stay with them again on my yearly trips between the UK and my home country. Thank you. Before that, though, the €400 deposit seemed excessive, as did the extra €30 dog fee. There were too many emails before check-in, some repeated, and self check-in was stressful, especially with the office closed on weekends. The entrance door was opened for me, and when I hadn’t received the key collection code, a kind young lady called and sent it over WhatsApp. As a “boomer” who didn’t grow up with the internet, I would have found a phone explanation of the check-in process easier. That part was probably my own ignorance. My dog is certainly better behaved than some humans.
